Angus is over

August 24th, 2010

Well, it’s been a rather hectic week where the upshot is that our singer has decided to knock it on the head. We were already struggling with the impending departure of Tris, (our Angus Young) and some replacements that we had found decided to follow a different path, which left us in the lurch.

So we’ve now decided to cease playing with immediate effect - apologies to all those who are affected by this rather sudden about-turn. I hoped we’d play the remaining gigs out, but it wasn’t to be.

Thanks for all the support that people and venues have shown us. Keep Rockin’

Rich

Angus Young required!

August 22nd, 2010

Hello all, our current Angus, Tris has announced he intends to play out the rest of the year but will then be off onto bigger and better things. Should you have stumbled across Angus’s page out of curiosity, but happen to know someone who could fill the Angus Young role, drop us (or them) a line and get in touch. If we don’t get a replacement, then Angus will come to a premature end this year.

Angus are based in the South West but have designs on playing across the country if we can get the act nailed.

Thanks for looking, Rich.

Devon Rock n Bike Fest

August 13th, 2010

Firstly, a round of applause for the organisers of this event who found out at the 11th hour that they didn’t have the required music licence, yet still managed to put the music event on in the Pavilion. We had a great time and even got given a picture from Lucy, that’s now on the wall. It was a great venue and evening and Angus look forward to being able to playat next years Devon Rock n bike Event. Thanks all!

Angus Young (or next best thing required)

July 7th, 2010

Sadly we are due to part with our Angus as he goes in search of bigger and better things, but we’re still gigging until he does leave. We’re now actively looking for someone to fill this immense role and would appreciate any interested parties contacting us via the site.

We’re looking forward to providing a great alernative to the established AC/DC tributes throught this year and next, so if you are a venue or the next Angus Young – we look forward to hearing from you.

Angus back from Glastonbudget 2010

May 31st, 2010

Well, how do you describe this festival in one word? You can’t,  Awesome will do, but it doesn’t convey the fun, the great atmosphere, superb organisation and general party feeling around the place. Top acts, variety, good food and drink all reasonably priced and a music menu to die for. Angus played a 35 minute showcase slot and had a wonderful experience, the whole weekend was a banquet of music and fun and I for one will be returning – hopefully as Angus but by myself if necessaary. Check it out www.glastonbudget.net

Almost into the quiet bit

May 17th, 2010

Well, we’re nearly there. We’ve a gig this Friday then we’re off to Leicester to appear in the Showcase Marquee at Glastonbudget and then it’s time for a bit of R & R, as some of the guys are off to Download, Green Day and holidays etc. In recent gigs we’ve aired Shoot To Thrill and Moneytalks, with Beating Around The Bush and Fire Your Guns rehearsed, but not yet played live. Watch out for the occasional gig during June / July but we hit the ground running in August! Thanks for the support so far!

A Quick Update

April 30th, 2010

Angus are about to get back into the routine of gigs and rehearsals in preparation for a busy May period. Next gig is in DB’s Music Bar in Weston Supermare on Sat 8th May. This is our first visit to a venue in WSM and we’re really looking forward to playing for this musically active town. It should be a great night out for anyone who likes Rock n Roll!

Hope to see you there!

Angus at The Parkers Arms, Paignton

April 4th, 2010

Paignton once again rocked! We had a great turnout the last time we played there and this time was even better. Celebrated Leno’s birthday with “Big Balls” and played every song in our itinery. Brilliant!
